Terms & Conditions

By using DormSudz laundry services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Eligibility

  • DormSudz services are available to currently enrolled college students only.
  • Valid student identification may be required at any time.

Laundry Bag Policy

  • Each DormSudz bag is limited to ONE person's clothing only.
  • No sharing laundry bags between roommates, friends, or multiple individuals.
  • Bags containing excessive items may be refused or subject to additional charges.

Prohibited Items

DormSudz does NOT accept:

  • Comforters
  • Blankets
  • Sheets
  • Mattress toppers
  • Pillows
  • Rugs
  • Towels in excessive quantities
  • Wet or mildew-covered clothing
  • Delicate, dry-clean-only, or highly valuable items

We reserve the right to refuse any bag that exceeds weight or size limitations.

Pickup & Drop-Off Policy

  • Customers must be available during their scheduled pickup and drop-off time window.
  • DormSudz will wait a maximum of 15 minutes for pickups or drop-offs.
  • If the customer is unavailable after 15 minutes, the laundry will be left at the agreed location or the appointment may be canceled.
  • Missed pickups or drop-offs may require rescheduling and additional fees may apply.

Lost, Stolen, or Unattended Items

  • DormSudz is not responsible for bags, clothing, locks, tags, or personal belongings that are lost, stolen, or unattended after delivery.
  • Customers are responsible for retrieving their laundry promptly once delivered.
  • DormSudz is not liable for items left in residence hall lobbies, common areas, front desks, or unattended locations.

Locks & Tags

  • Each customer is responsible for maintaining their DormSudz bag, lock, and identification tag.
  • Replacement bags, locks, or tags are available for a $20 replacement fee.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring tags remain attached and accurate.

Clothing Care

While every effort is made to properly care for garments, DormSudz is not responsible for:

  • Color bleeding
  • Shrinkage
  • Damage caused by normal washing/drying
  • Items left in pockets
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Delicate fabrics damaged during standard laundering

Customers are responsible for checking all pockets before pickup.

Any special washing instructions must be clearly communicated before service.

Stains

  • DormSudz does not guarantee stain removal.
  • Stained items will be treated with reasonable care, but some stains may remain permanent after washing.

Payment Policy

  • Payment is due prior to or at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
  • Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services.

Right to Refuse Service

DormSudz reserves the right to refuse service for:

  • Unsanitary or hazardous items
  • Excessively overloaded bags
  • Inappropriate behavior toward staff
  • Repeated missed pickups/drop-offs
  • Violations of these terms

Limitation of Liability

By using DormSudz services, customers acknowledge and agree that DormSudz's liability for any claim related to laundry services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service provided.

Policy Updates

DormSudz reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
